I'm posting here because I'm at my wit's end and hoping for some advice. For the past few weeks, I've been getting multiple calls a day from Zwicker and Associates about an old credit card debt. They've called my cell, my home phone, and even my workplace, which is incredibly embarrassing.
They keep threatening a lawsuit and wage garnishment, which is terrifying. I've started ignoring the calls, but the stress is affecting my sleep. I finally started writing down every number, date, and time they call.
I found this article that talks about stopping their harassment and it seems like they might be violating my rights by calling so much and threatening me. It mentions things like the FDCPA.
I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else has been through this with them? How did you get them to stop? I feel like I can't just keep ignoring it, but I don't know what to do next.
